How To Properly Move A Piano
If you are a piano owner then you probably look at it as one of the prized possessions of your house, right? There are a lot of pianos out there and the thing that you need to understand is that they are all pretty expensive. What most people don’t realize is that when you move you need to handle your piano with care or else the keys could break, the piano could go out of tune and you definitely don’t want to break the actual base of the piano.
One of the things that you need to know about moving a piano is they should not be tilted or upside down for very long. If you have to tip a piano on its side to get it through a door then that is fine but you need to do it slowly and make sure you set it back flat when you are done. The reason you should never keep a piano tilted during transport is because most of the time it will bust the keys and sometimes it can damage the actual casing of the piano. Trust me, it is important that you keep the piano as flat as possible.
Something that I would recommend is that you also wrap the piano with a moving blanket so that when you are going through a door that you don’t ding the piano on the frame. Moving blankets are not that expensive so you won’t have much to worry about here.
If you don’t feel that confident about moving a piano then I would recommend getting some piano movers in Austin to help you out. The nice thing about getting somebody that has done this many times before is they already know what they are doing and the chances of them doing it right are much higher than if you do it.
